Vision Statement

The purpose of the 4 Hyms Quartet is to convey through our music and lifestyle a passionate message of everlasting love, forgiveness, and hope found only in the person of Jesus Christ. We recognize that we are only instruments and that while our time with audiences may be short, the Holy Spirit is not limited by time. Our prayer is that He will use our gifts and talents to encourage the hearts of those in the audience long after our time with them.

We recognize the fact our ministry is primarily to churches in Nebraska. Most churches have the desire to have an outreach ministry, but financially are unable to secure larger well known groups. We hope to bridge the gap with an opportunity of a local quartet.

Statement of Faith

We believe…
…the Bible, both Old and New Testament, to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative word of God.

…there is one God, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

…that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross, and provided the complete sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and Advocate.

…that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and during this age to convict men, regenerating the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service.

…that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provides the only grounds for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit, and thus become children of God

…in the spiritual unity of believers in the body of our Lord, Jesus Christ, of which He is the Head.

…in the personal and imminent coming of our Lord Jesus Christ; and that this “blessed hope” has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer.

…in the bodily resurrection of the dead; of the believer to everlasting joy with the Lord; of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.
